“Not Available in Victoria, . . . Pity” a news release
John
Luton, Coordinator of the Vancouver Island Cycle Tourism Alliance,
joined CRD Parks staff and other stakeholders to walk a new trail
alignment proposed to connect north from the Galloping Goose to the Cowichan
Valley. Passing by the Humpback reservoir, the CRD will be developing
the link from Langford over the next couple of years. Although
hillier than the trail it is meant to replace (now under water behind
the raised Sooke dam), the trail will create an important link for
recreational and touring cyclists. Scenic views and lush forest
sections will make for a beautiful ride.
